Rhythm

Rhythm is one of the basic elements of music, and is strongly emphasized. Students will learn to maintain a steady beat while performing contrasting rhythms. This is often achieved through rhythmic movement and body percussion. Internalized rhythm is an essential part of musical training and success.  Student will also learn to understand basic rhythmic notation. Rhythm is found in the music we listen to, as well as the words we speak, and even the world around us. Children in this program will be guided to discover it.
