About me

I started singing, and playing violin at a very young age. I have been in many musical productions, operas, choirs, orchestras, and solo competitions. I have a comprehensive background in multiple areas of instrumental as well as vocal music. I play many instruments including violin, viola, piano, guitar ukelele, I am just beginning on the banjo, and am an experienced vocalist. I have 10 years experience Participating in high level College and Children's Choirs. As a soloist I have had 6 years of private vocal instruction. In high school I competed as a mezzo-soprano in solo and ensemble competitions, and on viola in both ensemble groups and as a soloist.

I studied Music education as a vocalist, and viola secondary, at Idaho state university for 3 years, and earned an associates degree in general studies, and a minor in Music. I have participated as a vocalist in a number of venues including weddings, solo competitions, graduate recitals, and many other recitals, and programs. I am now studying music, and elementary education at Utah state university. I have experience in teaching violin, viola, and voice lessons. I have taught beginners, as well as more experienced high school vocalists folk, as well as classical music.

I have just completed  a level I Orff Schulwerk certification. This is a rigorous training program that specializes in teaching children music. I am passionate about children learning music, and it is my belief that this experience is transformative in their lives.
